As a clinic for integrative oncology, we know about the positive effects of this Way on the body and mind of our patients. Unfortunately for some, the completing the Way of St. James is an unreachable goal, mostly due to the elaborate organization and the fear of unforeseen medical problems. To enable as this inspiring experience for as many patients as possible, the UNIFONTIS team offers to accompany patients on this pilgrimage. Upon request, we can even handle baggage transfer.
Onward to Santiago de Compostela!
For over 1,000 years have pilgrims walked the trail to the grave of the Apostle James in the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela. There are actually many Ways of St. James- the route from your door to Santiago is a Way of St. James. However, there are many well-known routes with important meanings that have developed legendary reputations over the centuries, with infrastructure developed over the centuries. The most well-known of these is Camino Frances, a late middle age traffic hub in northern Spain, extending from the Pyrenees to the St. James’s grave and encompasses the royal cities of Jaca, Pamplona, Estella, Burgos and Leon.
We would be thrilled to hear what has inspired you to undertake the pilgrimage! Please feel free to schedule an appointment with us today!
